It is with much sadness that we announce the loss of Carole Hurworth.

Carole was a long term member of U3A and was on the very first committee. She later held the position of Treasurer for quite a few years and went on to manage grants applications. This enabled our group to set up the current Boardroom at Beryl Hevey Centre with six new computers.

Carole ran computer classes twice a week for several years, started our first book club and took other classes such as floral arranging. She loved to meet up with members for coffee and lunch but especially a good chat.
